Breast Cancer survivor

I first went to Patty when I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. I had all the common side effects: nausea, fatigue, night sweats, numbness in fingers and toes. My white blood count was very low and I was suffering from two months of coughing which kept me up at night. As a last resort, I went to see my friend’s acupuncturist, Patty Adelsberger. She was compassionate, caring and treated me with respect. She helped me through my chemotherapy and radiation. My side effects were significantly reduced and my overall energy was significantly improved. Patty improved my quality of life and helped me get through my health crisis.

Lower Back Pain

I decided to try acupuncture for relief from lower back pain caused by a herniated disc. A friend of mine recommended Patty highly, and the first time I went to see her, I was impressed by how much time she spent asking about my medical history, symptoms, and potential causes. I immediately felt comfortable with Patty, and I really appreciated how attentive she was and how well she listened. My initial treatments eased the general pain in my lower back, but what hooked me was how much the treatments helped when I threw my back out. After I lifted something I shouldn’t have and threw my back into full spasm, making movement very difficult, I was better in just 4 days with Patty’s help. In the past when I’d thrown my back out, it typically took 1-2 weeks for this acute injury to heal. My general health has also improved. Her treatments have helped me recover more quickly from colds and other illnesses. When I go to see Patty, I know that she’s going to devote 100% of her energy and skill to treating my specific issues. She doesn’t make assumptions or stick with the same old routine each time; she tailors each treatment to whatever’s bothering me most that day. I hope Patty never leaves the Boston area!

Side Effects of Chemotherapy

An email from the daughter of a patient diagnosed with lymphoma:

My mom shared with me today the thoughtful card you sent her in the mail. She was really touched. I just wanted to say thank you for all the kindness and warmth you’ve shown her. You may not know it, but you truly contributed to her being in a good and strong position to begin treatment, and for this my mom and I are grateful. She’s handling the chemo quite well and we all feel really positively about her response. She hopes to be falling asleep on your table again soon.
Just hoping you know that you make a positive difference in the lives of others and that others think quite highly of you :)

Help for a marathoner

Patty is excellent. The medical history she gathers on her patients is, by far, the most thorough I have ever had from any medical professional. That being said, it is easy to tell that she treats all her patient’s individually and her treatments are geared the same way. I immediately felt comfortable explaining to Patty the reasons I felt I needed acupuncture. The treatments themselves are wonderful. Patty is able to work on multiple things at a time, for example anxiety and an IT Band injury. I went from not being able to run 20 yards because of IT band pain to being completely cured of any pain within six treatments. I had an excellent 22 mile pain-free run just in time for the Boston Marathon 2005. If you have anxiety, back and neck pain from stress, digestive issues, sports-related injuries, or chronic pain, give Patty a call. Her rates are reasonable and she will help you.

Carpal Tunnel

I had suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome for over 20 years and had been experiencing a six-month flare up when I decided to give acupuncture a try.  After four treatments from Patricia, I began to feel marked improvement.  By the sixth treatment, my symptoms were gone completely!
